Management Training & Design

Managers of for-profits and nonprofits are continually faced with a challenge of "pushing the envelope" of creative ideas and positioning their organizations to take advantage of new opportunities, minimize risks, and expand the number of viable options.

Management in a highly competitive, rapidly changing marketplace requires "out-of-the-box" thinking and visionary leadership. Often, a test of management is the extent to which managers can develop a team that designs programs, products, or services reflective of the interests and needs of the constituent or client. Managers must know how to move an idea through a thorough, rigorous process, which ultimately results in the best product or service. This requires the savvy and skills to manage both people and processes.

Manager Development
Strategic Decisions, LLC
, works with managers to develop approaches to program design, which best utilize the skills, experience, and resources available. Managers are assisted in assessing current programs and developing criteria for selecting future programs. Strategies for sharing program management responsibilities are identified and encouraged while the manager expands his or her ability to provide the necessary institutional support, supervision, and oversight.

The Manager's Tool Kit brings together a full array of vital tools: real-life dilemmas, case studies, training guides, strategic planning resources, organizational mapping devices, team-building exercises, organizational assessments, and evaluation instruments. Each tool consists of conceptual framework, operational steps, and applications, which are flexible and transferable in the management environment.
